Who We Are
Hope for Tomorrow, founded in 2024 by committed young leaders, is a non-governmental community-based organization focused on empowering rural youth. We work to improve sexual and reproductive health (SRH), advance girls' education, and strengthen the well-being of underserved communities with practical resources and support.
Hope for Tomorrow is a youth- and women-led non-governmental organization working to advance sexual and reproductive health and rights, and educational opportunities for girls and young women in Rwanda.
We were founded in response to the persistent barriers that prevent girls, particularly those in marginalized communities, from accessing accurate health information, managing their menstruation with dignity, and continuing their education. Our work is grounded in the belief that health, education, and dignity are deeply interconnected and essential to achieving gender equity.
Through community-based programming, partnerships, and evidence-informed approaches, we support girls and young women to navigate adolescence with agency, confidence, and opportunity, which allows them to reach their full potential.
Our Story
Belyse Mukayiranga and her colleagues launched Hope for Tomorrow after witnessing the barriers rural youth face in health, education, and opportunity. Their shared experiences in Rwanda inspired a vision to close these gaps with reliable SRH education, access to schooling, and supportive spaces where young people can thrive.
What began as a small effort has grown into a community movement powered by collaboration, resilience, and the belief that every young person deserves the chance to reach their full potential.
Our Mission
We empower rural youth through sexual and reproductive health education, capacity building, and girls' education. By equipping young people with accurate knowledge, skills, and support, we help them lead healthy and prosperous lives.
Our Vision
We envision communities where rural youth have the resources and opportunities to realize their full potential. By fostering holistic development, we aim to nurture empowered individuals who contribute positively to their futures and their communities.
Our Journey Forward
We evolve our programs to stay responsive to the young people we serve, pairing evidence-based SRH education with mentorship and skills building.
With partners, volunteers, and community leaders, we are building a sustainable path so every young person can learn, lead, and prosper.
