Who We Are
Hope for Tomorrow is a youth- and women-led organization dedicated to empowering girls and young women in Rwanda to live with dignity, agency, and opportunity. We work across three key areas: supporting girls to stay in school and access scholarships, promoting menstrual health and reproductive rights through accurate information and sustainable resources, and equipping young women with skills, mentorship, and opportunities to participate fully in the workforce and local economy. By combining education, health, and economic empowerment, we create holistic pathways that help girls and women overcome barriers and thrive in their communities.
Through community-based programming, partnerships, and evidence-informed approaches, we support girls and young women to navigate adolescence with agency, confidence, and opportunity, which allows them to reach their full potential.
Our Story
Hope for Tomorrow was founded by Belyse Mukayiranga in 2024 to create opportunities for girls and young women in rural Rwanda. Through her experience in nursing and global health, she saw how limited access to education, sexual and reproductive health resources, and economic opportunities holds many young women back. Belyse established Hope for Tomorrow to empower girls and women by supporting education, reproductive health rights, and pathways to economic participation. By addressing these interconnected challenges, the organization helps young women gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence to make informed choices, contribute meaningfully to their communities, and reach their full potential in health, education, and socio-economic wellbeing.
Our Journey Forward
We evolve our programs to stay responsive to the young people we serve, pairing evidence-based SRH education with mentorship and skills building.
With partners, volunteers, and community leaders, we are building a sustainable path so every young person can learn, lead, and prosper.
