Menstrual Health & Bodily Autonomy

Program 1: Menstrual Health & Bodily Autonomy

We ensure that girls and young women from rural areas can manage their menstruation safely, confidently, and with dignity, free from stigma, misinformation, and structural barriers.

We take a rights-based and evidence-informed approach that goes beyond product distribution. Our work integrates menstrual health education, access to sustainable menstrual products, community engagement, and research to address the social, cultural, and systemic factors that affect menstrual experiences.

Through school- and community-based interventions, we equip girls with accurate information, practical skills, and agency over their bodies, while engaging parents, teachers, and community leaders to create supportive environments.

Key Focus Areas

  • Menstrual health education and stigma reduction
  • Access to sustainable menstrual products
  • Peer education and community dialogue
  • Research and learning on menstrual health practices

Program 2: Girls’ Education & Life Pathways

The Girls’ Education & Life Pathways Program works to prevent school dropout and support girls, especially those facing structural and social barriers, to remain in, return to, and complete their education.

We recognize education as a critical pathway to long-term health, autonomy, and opportunity. Our work focuses on addressing the underlying factors that interrupt girls’ education, including poverty, early pregnancy, stigma, and lack of social support.

Rather than one-off assistance, we emphasize continuity, mentorship, and community engagement to help girls navigate critical life transitions and reclaim their educational trajectories.
